C. Difficile Vaccine Study

The Upstate Global Health Institute is partnering with Pfizer on a research study to learn more about an investigational vaccine that may help prevent infection caused by Clostridioides difficile (C. difficile).

C. difficile is a type of bacteria (germ) that can cause severe diarrhea and gut inflammation. It often affects people who have recently taken antibiotics or spent time in healthcare settings. Currently, no vaccine is approved to prevent C. difficile infection.

The Upstate Global Health Institute is seeking individuals 65+ and who have done or more risk factors for C.difficile infection.
