Clinical Recruiting Assistant
Sara Yousuf is the Clinical Recruiting Assistant at SUNY Upstate Institute for Global Health. She works with other members of the team to develop strategies to recruit participants for the various clinical trials run by the Institute. Sara also writes communications for patients and other organizations, and creates content for the Global Health social media and website.
Originally from Northern Virginia, Sara is a Certified Medical Assistant with over seven years of experience in the healthcare field. She has worked in a number of healthcare settings, including hospital ICU and NICUs, private practices, and pediatrics. Sara is passionate about helping others and is interested in infectious disease and virology. She will be graduating in December 2020 from George Mason University with a Bachelors degree in Biology and Psychology. She plans to pursue a Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology, and then go on to complete her PhD. She hopes to go on to become an innovative thinker and leader in epidemiology once she finishes her studies.
In her free time, Sara enjoys reading books, cooking up new recipes, and spending time with friends and family.
